| Abstract: | In the course of the work of newly established JSME Standard S-008 'Performance Conversion Method for Hydraulic Turbines and Pumps', an accurate and relatively simple method of calculating leakage flow and disk friction power has been developed, and the simple formulae for volumetric efficiency and mechanical efficiency at the best efficiency point have been determined. This paper presents the above method and formulae, and shows their validity comparing with the measured data and the numerical analysis. |
